Eve Delachartre, CYT

Eve grew up on a winery farm in the South of France, giving her a sense of timeless space and connection with nature.  She discovered Yoga at an intensive dance training at age 16.  Soon she encountered Maitreyi, a yoga teacher who said: “I am willing to teach you as long as you practice every day”. Eve committed to studying with Maitreyi, a senior student of Sri Krishnamacharya, as well as with his son T.K. SriBhashyam. From that time on, Yoga manifested itself in great opportunities.  She continued to study with prominent Yoga figures in France, India and the US, with certifications in Prana Yoga and Integrative Yoga Therapy.  With over 25 years of teaching Yoga, Eve's goal is healing and bringing back harmony with the self, others and nature.  Eve’s knowledge and intuition allow her to uniquely customize Yoga for healthy individuals, pre/post-surgical patients, the elderly and those with physical limitations.  Her students range in age from the teenage years to those over 90 years old in private and group classes. Eve resides in New York. She has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.

Eve follows the traditional lineage of Viniyoga and Yoga Therapy from the late Sri Krishnamacharya. He said, “Yoga must be tailored to suit the student, not the other way around.” His son TKV Desikachar said “we must do the Viniyoga of Yoga (appropriate use of Yoga), so that Yoga serves the purpose for which it is being offered. This is only possible if we personalize Yoga practice for each student”.

Rebecca Rozario, MPH, CYT

Rebecca grew up surrounded by a family dedicated to Yoga. She is proud to be a 3rd generation Yoga teacher, taking after Eve (her mom) and Marguerite (her grandmother) who both are dedicated yogis. Rebecca has worked in healthcare administration and the public sector for over a decade. She received her Yoga teacher certification from Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in 2020. She enjoys sharing her love and connection with Yoga to all people regardless of age or physical limitation. Through her journey of personal challenges and healing, Rebecca believes that the gift of Yoga helps us find grounding, peace and optimal well-being. During her free time, Rebecca volunteers in her community as an EMT, spends time in nature and does art projects with her kids. Rebecca resides in New York with her husband and 2 children.

Rebecca follows the lineage of Swami Kripalu, who said “The uniqueness of Kripalu Yoga is that postures, pranayama [breathing] and meditation are all happening simultaneously, not separately.” Kripalu means compassion. Throughout Yoga practice, the emphasis is on “self-observation without judgment” and embracing our whole being in the present moment.
